Working principles
Recommendations reflect the facts, the owner’s objectives, and the long-term implications.
Capital, time, privacy, opportunity, and reputation are treated with a principal’s care.
Clear expectations, direct communication, and disciplined execution carry decisions into action.
Scott began his career as a mechanical engineer and engineering manager, establishing the analytical foundation that continues to shape his approach. His work since has spanned real estate development, construction, finance, and business operations.
Scott entered real estate as an investor, including the development of ground-up speculative homes. He then founded and operated general contracting businesses that completed hundreds of projects throughout Northern California, building the teams, controls, and operating systems behind the work. He later led residential acquisitions and renovations, subdivision development, and other real estate development initiatives.
Over the past decade, in development leadership and owner-representation roles, Scott has advised private developers and owners across California and Hawaii on land development, housing, industrial and flex, self-storage, development finance, entitlements, consultant leadership, and construction oversight. Trenery Partners brings that experience together through practical judgment, financial discipline, and direct accountability to ownership.
Senior judgment and direct involvement give ownership confidence that priorities will be carried through without managing the daily work.
